Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of the Loop digital photo frame, Loop mobile apps, Loop web portal, and Loop Album Texts (SMS), operated by California Labs, Inc. (“Loop,” “we,” “us”). By downloading or using the Loop app, using a Loop frame, using Loop Album Texts, or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including mobile numbers. If there is a conflict about Loop Album Texts or mobile numbers used for SMS, this page and the Privacy Policy control.

The Service

The Loop app, Loop frames, related trademarks, and other intellectual property belong to California Labs, Inc. You may not copy, modify, translate, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, or make derivative versions, except as allowed by law.

California Labs, Inc. may change the Service or charge for parts of it. We will not charge you for the app or its services without making it clear what you are paying for.

You are responsible for keeping your phone and Loop account secure. Do not jailbreak or root your phone if you want the app to work reliably. The app uses third-party services that have their own terms.

Some features need an internet connection. California Labs, Inc. is not responsible if the Service does not work at full functionality because you do not have Wi-Fi or mobile data. Your wireless plan still applies, including roaming charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device, we assume you have the bill payer’s permission.

California Labs, Inc. is not responsible if your device runs out of battery or otherwise cannot use the Service. We rely on third parties for some information shown in the app and accept no liability for loss you experience from relying wholly on that functionality.

We may update the app. Loop is available on iOS and Android. System requirements may change. You agree to accept updates when offered. We may stop providing the app. On termination, your licenses end and you must stop using the app and delete it from your device.

Loop Album Texts SMS terms

Program name: Loop Album Texts, operated by California Labs, Inc.

Loop Album Texts lets a Loop customer register a mobile number, or add a trusted mobile number to a private photo album, so photos can be texted to Loop and shown on associated frames. Loop may also send verification codes, album-selection prompts, and short confirmations related to that use.

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive Loop Album Texts. Album owners may only add a mobile number for a person they know, and only after confirming that person has agreed to receive these messages.

Consent

Consent is collected in the Loop app (Settings → Text to Frame) when you register your own number, and on the Loop web portal when an album owner adds their own number to an album. Before a number is submitted, the person must check a box that is unchecked by default. The box reads: "I agree to receive Loop Album Texts about photos shared to my frame and my account. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." Links to the Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service appear next to the box. Loop does not send Loop Album Texts to the number until the box is checked.

When an album owner adds a friend's or family member's number on the web portal, the owner must confirm that the person knows them and expects a text from Loop. Loop then sends that number one invitation that names Loop Album Texts and the inviting owner, and asks the person to reply YES to join or STOP to opt out. Loop sends nothing else to that number, and does not accept photos from it, until the person replies YES.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies. Most people receive 1–8 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

HELP and STOP

Reply HELP for help, or email support@joinloop.com. Reply STOP to cancel Loop Album Texts. After you opt out you will receive one confirmation message and no further Loop Album Texts from that number, unless you opt in again.

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Wireless carriers are not responsible for the content of Loop Album Texts.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use mobile numbers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
