California Labs, Inc. (“Loop,” “we,” “us”) provides the Loop digital photo frame, Loop mobile apps, Loop web portal, Loop Album Texts (SMS), and the loopfamily.com store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information, including mobile numbers used for Loop Album Texts.

Loop Album Texts (SMS)

Loop Album Texts is our SMS program for sending and receiving texts related to private family photo albums and Loop frames. This includes:

  • registering your own number in the Loop app under Settings → Text to Frame
  • being added as a trusted number so you can text photos to someone else’s album
  • verification codes, album-selection prompts, photo confirmations, and HELP / STOP replies

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and mobile opt-in data collected for Loop Album Texts are used only to deliver those texts, route inbound photos, and provide related customer care. We do not sell mobile numbers. We do not share SMS consent data with third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message frequency varies. Recipients typically receive one welcome or setup message, plus transactional replies when they text photos or request help. Most people receive 1–8 messages per month, depending on how often they send photos.

Reply STOP to opt out of Loop Album Texts. Reply HELP for help, or email support@joinloop.com. After you opt out, we send one confirmation message and then no further Loop Album Texts from that number, unless you opt in again.

Loop Album Texts are intended for recipients who are 18 years of age or older.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use Loop, we may collect:

  • account details such as name, email address, and credentials
  • mobile phone numbers you provide for your own account, Text to Frame, or as a trusted number on an album
  • photos, videos, albums, comments, and similar content you send to Loop
  • device, usage, and diagnostic information needed to operate the Service

The app and website use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email or home address. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email or home addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout. This website advertising opt-out does not apply to Loop Album Texts. To stop Loop Album Texts, reply STOP.

How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • provide Loop, including delivering photos to frames and albums
  • send Loop Album Texts and verification codes you or an album owner requested
  • provide customer support and secure the Service
  • comply with law and enforce our terms

How we disclose personal information

We share personal information with service providers who help us operate Loop (for example SMS delivery, cloud hosting, and payments). Those providers may process information only to perform services for us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect Loop or our users, or in connection with a merger, sale, or similar corporate transaction.

Log data

If an error occurs in the app, we may collect log data such as IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time of use.

Cookies

This Service does not use cookies explicitly. The app and website may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser; some features may not work if you do.

Security

We use commercially reasonable means to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

The Loop app and website are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Loop Album Texts are intended for recipients 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@joinloop.com.

Your choices

You may reply STOP to Loop Album Texts at any time. You may also ask an album owner to remove your number, or email support@joinloop.com to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
